Time out

Well as you can see, I haven't been around for the year. There can been so much going on that I just haven't had the time to make cards, plus I lost my mojo so I've packed it all away for a year or so. I've got my hands full with my 2 year old son and am 8 months pregnant with baby no.2, I've been so tired and had so much else going on in my life. Anyway I've turned my hand to cross stitch which I can pick up and put down when ever I want, it helps me relax so for the foreseeable future that's what I'm going to be doing. When I have 5 minutes I'll put on pics of what I've made so far. 

Seasons Greetings

I have to say this card was rushed, I was set a challenge from a friend and had a time limit. I'm not completely happy with it, the writing could have been a bit higher but other than that I think I did a good job. The sentiment, present, holly and verse are all stamped. 

Happy Halloween or Happy Birthday?

I love these gorjuss stamps, they are so pretty.  This card is a work in progress, I can't decide what to use it for, would love your input, please, I'd love to hear your comments. I will post the finished card when complete 

18th Birthday

I've been trying to work out where the last 18 years have gone, I remember the night we had a call to say my Auntie had given birth to a baby Girl (my cousin). I spent so much time with her throughout her life, looked after her, she stayed at my place some weekends and in school holidays, she's like a sister to me, that's why I wanted to make her a special card something she can keep, look back on and know I made it with love. To make it even more special I thought I would attempt making my first ever box, I have to say I'm very pleased with the outcome.

Paper piecing

I made this card as my first challenge swap with my friend Sall, I loved this stamp when I first saw it but never thought or heard of paper piecing until she told me about and how great this stamp would be for this challenge. I went one step further by adding brads and making wings that move, I was very pleased with myself.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Sally, I have been with my fiancé for nearly 2 and a half years and I'm a mummy to a wonderful little boy who turned 1 a week ago. I have been card making for 9 years if you include the last year where I've not had the time or energy lol but I'm back at my desk now (when my son is sleeping). I also make jewellery, knit and crochet. My cards were very basic at the start and even now

feel as though I have a lot to learn, I use to do a lot of decoupage which I still do occasionally but I mostly stamp now, I love the colouring and that you can use the same stamp over and over and make it a different colour and affect every time. At the moment, my favourite stamps are the gorjuss girls as you can see. I hope you will drop by again soon to see photos of some of the old cards I've made and all the new ones along with anything else I make. I do swap challenges with a friend of mine which I love doing because we both have very different styles.
